- Large package / furniture distribution centers located in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey totaling 9.2M square feet plus another 1.2M square feet of standalone final-mile furniture hubs.
Small package eCommerce distribution centers located in Mississippi and Arizona totaling 3.2M square feet, consisting of over 1,000 full-time associates and 1,500 seasonal/temporary associates in Mississippi.
- Sutter Street Manufacturing upholstery factories located in North Carolina and Mississippi totaling with over 1,400 full-time employees producing approximately $900 million to $1 billion in sales of upholstered furniture.
- Transportation Department for Ocean, Air, Trucking, and Rail consisting of over 30 transportation professionals located in Memphis, TN.
- 700 associates in our Sourcing offices in 10 countries in Asia and Europe including China, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Italy, and Turkey.
The Furniture Technician position is located in Tracy, CA.
You'll Be Excited About This Opportunity Because You Will:
- Able to perform wood and upholstery repairs including burn-ins, wood graining and clear finish.
- Repair on top surface (larger than ½ inch).
- Color match on top surface.
- Proper applications of sealers and top coats.
- Polishing top coat to vendor specifications.
- Cross grain scratches burn in and rubbed out.
- Proper application of finishes using spray gun.
Check Out Some of the Required Qualifications We Are Looking For in Amazing Candidates:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience.
- Upholstery and wood repairs including burn-ins.
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic.
- Ability to multi-task with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivating individual able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Dependable and deadline oriented with ability to perform under pressure.
- Furniture repair skill assessment testing will be required as part of interview process.
We Prefer Some of These Qualities as Well:
- Previous experience with painting, wood assembly, wood repair, and/or similar craftsmanship.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work under pressure and fast learner.
- Availability to work full time schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
- Furniture repair skills assessment testing may be required as part of the interview process.
Review These Physical Requirements, as They Play a Major Part in This Role:
- Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials for up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable walking, standing 90% of the day.
